Program
Day 1
Rio de Janeiro.

Arrival in Rio de Janeiro.

Individual transfer from the airport of Rio de Janeiro to the hotel in Copacabana (transfer does not provide the escort of the guide).

Free day.

Enjoy one of the most renowned and lovable beaches in the world. There is a row of small shops along the coastline which contain pizza stalls, seafood

restaurants, bars with champagne and other alcoholic drinks.

If you are looking for gifts and souvenirs, Copacabana is the most suitable place for that purpose.

Day 2
Sugar Loaf mountain (Pao de Azucar), Praia Vermeil, Urca hill.

Meeting with the guide at the hotel lobby.

A half-day excursion to the Sugar Loaf Mountain. You will get to the Praia Vermeil (the Red Beach), from where you will ascend to the top of the mountain

by a funicular railway. The first stop will be on the Urca hill which has a large watching platform. From this spot, the whole city of Rio is at a glance.

There is a number of restaurants and bars on the watching platform where you can savor local dishes. On the main summit of the mountain Sugar Loaf, there is a

smaller watching platform from where a magnificent view opens not only over Rio de Janeiro but also over the beach of Copacabana, Ipanema, Leme, and

Guanabara Bay. You can watch from this spot the famous Rio–Niteroi Bridge and on Niteroi itself the architecture of which is connected with the worldwide

famous statue of Christ the Redeemer located on the peak of Corcovado mountain as well as the hills in the vicinity and islands in the ocean.

Later on, you will head to the central quarter of old Rio by car where you will be admired with ancient churches, monasteries and buildings constructed in a

colonial style. You will see one of the main sights of the city- the Maracana stadium, Sambadrom, where the annual Brazilian Carnaval takes place, the

Metropolitan Cathedral of Saint Sebastian, the Municipality Theater.

Day 3
The statue of Christ the Redeemer, 15 November Square, Boticario Square, Corcovado.

You will head to the famous statue of Christ the Redeemer through the historical center of the city. There are well-preserved statues and monuments from

the past like the Church of Candelaria which was constructed in 1775. Some best examples of the baroque style have remained in the architecture of the

monastery Saint Bento. The Arches of the renowned Lapa, built in 1732, currently are used as a water supply to carry water from the Carioca River to the

city center. The City theater was designed by the best artists in Europe. There are important and historical monuments located on the Square of 15

November - The Imperial Palace from the balcony of which slavery was abolished, the Tiradentes Palace, the Cathedral built in 1808 as a Royal church, the

monastery of Carmelite of the 16th century. On the Boticario Square mosaic buildings with old facades are situated which are surrounded by ancient trees.

The Cathedral which can fit 20000 people is immensely impressive.

On the drive way you will be admired with churches, monasteries, the Head Cathedral of the city as well as buildings constructed in a colonial style.

Arrival at the station from where open, ecologically safe mini trains run through jungles to the peak of the hill Corcovado. On the peak of Corcovado, on the

height of 700m above sea level the symbol of Rio de Janeiro - the statue of Christ the Redeemer (38 m) rises which was constructed in 1931.

From the peak of Corcovado a breathtaking panorama opens over the megapolis and its vicinities: the Niteroi bridge, the Guanabara Bay, the Botanical Garden, the

biggest in the world stadium of Maracana and the Sugar Loaf Mountain.

You can request optional excursions and tours as to Botanical Garden (an exotical park of 137 hectares with 8000 kinds of plant species) or you can take a

tour to the Guanabara Bay.

Royal Petropolis.
Petropolis is situated on high altitudes in the mountains, 37 miles away from Rio de Janeiro. In 1830 the last King of Brazil- Don Pedro the IInd built a summer palace on this territory to have the possibility of bringing his sick daughter here from hot Rio. This city, where the news about military revolution and dethronement found him, became the last refuge of his life. In the imperial palace which is currently a museum, there is a unique collection of decorative art ware collection, furniture, ancient books, beautiful statues of saints and a golden royal crown adorned with numerous diamonds and pearls which kings traditionally carried at the coronation. After the overthrow of the monarchy in Brazil, no any citizen of the country was honored to be rewarded by the highest Imperial order of Russia- the Order of the Holy Apostle Andrew the First-Called.


The Botanical Garden

The Botanical garden was established by João Barbosa Rodrigues at the beginning of the 19 century and represents numerous most impressive allays intercrossing in the center, unusual statues and monuments, middle-sized lakes and fountains, a large variety of flora from different corners of the world and a marvelous place where you can have a rest and relax. Here more than 7 thousand species are presented including wild orchids. On the "Avenue of Pedro Gordillo" grows the national symbol of Brazil- the tree Pau-Brazil. The imperial high palms are also very impressive. On the "Pond of Frei Leandro" which is named in honor to the first director of the botanical garden most attractive beautiful water lilies of Victoria Regia float.


Favela Rocinha tour.
(Min. 2 ppl: 135 $ per person for an individual tour with a Russian speaking guide/ 60$ per person for a group tour with an English speaking guide).
There was a time when soldiers from Bai fought against the royal army on the hills where a tree of Favela stood. Shortly after the war, the ones who were left alive came to Rio de Janeiro to demand payment. They settled down on the hill of Providence and stayed there to live. In memory of their battle, they named the hill Favela. The town outskirts with dirty narrow streets along which stinky ditches stretch. Overall there are 700 favelas counted in Rio. In the Favelas not only thieves and drug dealers live but also technicians and officials, you can even rent an apartment here. But you can reach here only by the permission of the local Godfather. The police do not visit this town. On the narrow streets, merchants put stalls and start street trade. There is also a free market of food and handmade products. Here internal rules and law reign. By a jeep, you will drive through the whole district of Rocinha and get back to the hotel.


A hang glider flying tour.

From the hotel, you will be transferred to the forest of Tijuca at the mountain of Pedra- Bonita. From this spot, a full panorama over Rio de Janeiro opens. The flight over the green slօpe of the mountain and the endless ocean will give you a blast of adrenaline. And in case of peaceful soaring, you will feel as if you were a bird. The professional English speaking instructor will provide you with an information package of security instructions and will explain all the details and methods about the jump. You will get dressed in full ammunition and after several imitations of a jump, you and the instructor will scatter and jump. After having soared over the sea, you will get to the beach of Peppino. Lapa - show of Rio at night.

Lapa is the crazy rhythm of night dwellers of Rio, It is a place where a large number of restaurants, clubs, and bars of any taste is located. Here you can meet crowds of walking youth who seek entertainment and fun. Music of any kind and genre plays: started from techno music to jazz, from live ethnic to rock music. The national music of Brazil is incredibly diverse: from African music brought here by the black slaves, continued with bossa nova which was created by white composers in the middle of the past century. With the background of cobblestone pavements and streets, ancient monasteries and the old viaduct of the Lapa Arches, here free formate of social atmosphere reigns. If you want to have fun at night and are not afraid of adventures, this is definitely your destination. Lapa is a dance hall of enchiladas by coming out of one and entering the other you can appear in a dense festive crowd. The main local beverage here is Caipirinhas which is a mixture of cane vodka koshas, lime juice, ice and sugar.

Day 5
Rio de Janeiro - Iguazu

Private transfer from your hotel in Copacobana to the airport of Rio, from where you will depart to Foz do Iguaçu.

Flight to Iguazu. Private transfer (only accompanied by a driver) from the airport of Iguazu to your hotel.

You can pick an optional tour, e.g. Park of Birds (78 $ per person, with a private Russian speaking guide, min. 2 ppl.).

The park is one of the most visited places of Foz do Iguazu where the biggest collection of birds in the whole Latino America is located.

Or in the evening you can go to the Rafain show which is a fine restaurant famous for not only qualified food, but also wonderful musical shows with

Latino-American dances.

Rafain Show - 220 $ per person with a private Russian speaking guide, min. 2 ppl.

Rafain Grill Place - is a huge restaurant that fits 1200 seats with conditioners and a parking lot. The menu of the restaurant is diverse and you can taste a

big number of meat dishes prepared from fresh beef and pork.

The buffet presents an abundant variety of vegetables, fruits, and delicious desserts.

Dinner is accompanied by Latino-American artists, who represent folk music and modern dances.

Visiting the restaurant is possible every day at 7:50 in the evening.

Day 6
Iguazu Waterfalls.

A rather saturated excursion to the waterfall of Foz de Iguazu will await you.

It is a total of 275 water streams collapsing from a frightening height. The waterfall is situated on the borderline of Brazil, Argentina, and Paraguay, in the

territory of National Park which has a unique flora and fauna. The waterfall was generated in the result of volcanic inversion and earth displacement.

The name of the waterfall in translation from the language of Guarani means "Big Water". 275 waterfalls, each of them having a separate name, merge into

one and plunge with a noisy roar into the gorge of "Devil's Throat".

The scene of the water spraying in the halo of the rainbow spectrum is incredible. It is amazing to see the contrast between the calm and "lazy" flow of the river

and the waterfall with the touchdown of its sound and furious  streams from the heights of 72 meters. Proceeding on foot over the bridge under the tiny

squirts of water, one can stand for hours watching this wonderful scenery and pondering over the eternity and magnificence of the Universe.

Day 7
Iguazu. Argentinian waterfalls.

A visit to the waterfalls from the Argentinian side (optional - 235 $ per person, not included in the total price).

An excursion to the Argentinian side waterfalls accompanied by a guide. In the hotel, you will meet the guide who will tell you about the local National Park

on a high level of proficiency. Across the bridge Tancredo Neves, which is over the river Iguazu, the National Park starts and only after hiking for some time,

you will get pretty close to the waterfall and appear directly below it. You will feel the power and noise of the multi-ton falling water and enjoy the

magnificent nature around you.

You will see the "birth" of waterfalls and the starting point of the biggest local waterfall here - the "Devil's Throat". The numerous man-made alleys and

paths are just amazing, they allow you to watch this natural phenomenon from quite a close distance. We shall make a tour through the National Park and

admire the waterfalls from watch platforms built above them. The heavy streams of water create multiple different shapes and height waterfalls over which

colorful rainbows always appear. The National park makes up of 50500 hectares territory on which a big diversity of typical and unique species of flora and

fauna is preserved.

Day 8
Returning home.

Private transfer (only with a driver) from the hotel in Iguazu to the airport of Cataratas.

A return flight to Yerevan.
