Classical Greece

Greece is the cradle of Western civilization and Athens is its heart. In the center of the city, there are accumulated several Greek ruins and artifacts, which will transfer you thousand of years back to the past like a time machine. Here you will see people noisily talking to each other at taverns, loudly laughing in the streets who live their lives fully by breathing deeply. There are many monuments of Western history - starting from Acropolis to the temple of Zeus and the treasury of the National Museum of Archeology.

The city of Delphi is established at the feet of the mount Parnas, surrounded with a picturesque landscape, between two powerful cliffs of Ferdinand. Delphi was utterly the center of the world for old Greeks. According to Greek mythology, Zeus set free two eagles from two opposite ends of the world to find out the center of the world. The eagles bumped into each other in the sky over the city of Delphi. That very place was marked with a stone, the Roman copy of which can be seen in the Delphi Museum.

The Greek city called Kalambaka is located at the very foot of the Meteor Rocks, on which the world-famous Meteora monasteries are located. Kalambaka along with the resort cities of Greece annually receives a very large number of tourists who are eager to see with their own eyes the monasteries of amazing construction. This is why the city has a well-developed hotel industry and trade of all kinds of goods, including the famous Greek fur coats. There is a very beautiful Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary in Kalambaka, built in the 11th century. The walls of the Cathedral are decorated with wonderful murals and icons. Before making an excursion to Meteora, tourists are introduced to this holy place at first.

The Peloponnese Peninsula, known since ancient times as Morea, is the largest peninsula of Greece, located in the south of the mainland, being connected with it by a narrow strip of land - the Isthmus of Corinth. In 1893 a canal of the same name was built here, which essentially turned the Peloponnese into an island. The most attractive side of the Peloponnese is its vast historical heritage, an abundance of attractions. In addition, from the peninsula, it is convenient to make day trips to other parts of Greece.
