Within summer school program we welcome students from over 30 different countries so you get the chance to speak English to new friends from all
the corners of the world!
Our students get to experience British culture first hand, experience new places and get to see some of the most famous sights in the UK.
There are always fun activities to join like sports, arts and dance, and our friendly staff are there to keep you entertained!
Churchill House Summer Centres is proud to report that in 2018 it passed a British Council Accreditation inspection with flying colours, receiving 9 areas
of strength including Care of Students, Safeguarding under 18s, Academic Management and Leisure Opportunities.
This makes the School one of the highest-scoring summer school under the accreditation scheme, which independently judges how well schools meet the
high standards set by the British Council.

Accommodation: Hostel style student accommodation with spacious multi-bedded rooms (3 to 6 beds) with shared bathrooms (although there are some singles).

Duke of York School is a large campus in the countryside just outside the historic port town of Dover and within sight of the famous Norman castle that
protects the port. The school is 200 years old but has extremely modern facilities including the new junior accommodation buildings and a state-of-the-art
theatre. There are also huge playing fields, a beautiful Edwardian swimming pool and a terrific sports hall.
This centre is perfect for younger students, allowing them to feel comfortable in the multi-bedded dorms making new friends and learning from each other
from different cultures. Older students will also benefit from the wide range of facilities the school has to offer including their fitness gym and can take
advantage of smaller en-suite rooms if desired. The programme takes full advantage of the superb facilities while offering weekly full day excursions to
popular destinations in the area such as London and Brighton.
Half day excursions allow customers the opportunity to visit a wide range of local attractions.

This year the project work at all the schools and colleges of Churchill House will focus on the environment and students will learn about greener ways of living.
Sunday is the arrival day. Students will have time to unpack and get familiarised with the school and its surroundings.
There will be possibility to have a half day alternative excursion. In the evening a joyful welcome party will await all the students at Duke of York.
