MayFair is an Independent English school with more than 30 years’ experience of specialized language teaching. This year the summer school programme will be held at the Taunton School campus in glorious Somerset, South- West England. With its historic buildings, modern facilities and great location, the programme could not be in a better setting. 

The timetable is packed with activities, learning challenges and project work, as well as a great social programme to make sure our students make the most of their time with us.   Students will also enjoy four local visits to the lovely market town of Bath, medieval cities Exeter or Wells, Cheddar Gorge and caves and an exploration of the famous Jurassic Coast and Lyme Regis.

The school offers both short and long-term English Language courses for young learners and teenager students from around the world. You can pick a course of 15, 20 or 30 lessons per week, or part-time in the evening, and then consider what your final goal is – perhaps you need a qualification or perhaps you want all-round improvement and to increase your confidence in speaking or writing. Every week, The progress of learners' will be assessed through tasks and activities. Every two weeks students will have an individual teacher-student tutorial to help them identify areas for improvement.

Program
Day 1
Arrival at Heathrow airport

All the arrivals are operated on Sunday. After meeting at the airport with the College representative,

the group will be transferred to the Taunton School campus that is situated in Somerset, South- West of England.

You will have an Orientation meeting and show around the beautiful school to explore its facilities, classrooms, secure and comfortable accommodation

(individual and shared rooms for up to 3 people) is available in modern refurbished houses. Boys and girls lodge in separate blocks each with a living room, kitchen and laundry.

The rooms are mostly with en-suite bathrooms and sofas․

Induction and settling in a picnic will be organized which will be followed by lunch and tea.

At 18:00 you will have dinner and personal time to rest and get acquainted with students from all over the world.

In the evening students will have entertainment time "Get to Know Your Activities ".

21:30 is quiet time, lights will be out at 22:00.

Day 2
Placement test

Breakfast at the School canteen.

Students will have a placement test & Induction Lesson.

In the afternoon various activities will be organaized that include:sports, arts, design and performing arts.

The School is quite well-equipped and has GYM facilities 

At 18:00 Dinner/Personal time. Students can enjoy informal dining in an impressive, traditional setting.

With a wide range of international dishes to choose from, students will enjoy "world food" as part of their experience.

In the evening students will have Culture Vulture Team Quiz which is has a team building goal and develops communication among different nationality students relationship.

Quiet time, Lights out at 22:00.

Day 3
Half-day Excursion

Breakfast at the School canteen. 

Lesson: English Language and Culture.

In spacious classrooms with audio-visual equipment, there will be held lessons of English Language and Culture.

At 12:30 - 13:30 students will have their lunch and Personal Time.

A half-day trip will be organized to Wells Cathedral & Wookey Hole.

Back to school, Dinner and personal time to have fun, walk in the neighborhood, work-out or else.

In the evening a fascinating game of Harry Potter Mystery will await you.

21:3 is Quiet time. The lights will be out at 22:00.

Day 4
Game Night

Breakfast at the School canteen.

Lesson: English Language and Culture.

The teaching method is interactive and focuses on building communication skills.

Lessons also include vocabulary building, grammar review and pronunciation practice.

14:00- 17:30 Activities: sports, arts and design, performing arts

Dinner/Personal time. Students will have access to the local

 extensive sports fields, astro pitches and pavilions are utilised all year round, plus two excellent indoor swimming pools which can be accessed within limited time.

The Taunton School also offers large sports halls whith indoor cricket practice facilities, squash courts, a climbing wall, fitness suite and dance studios. 

During Games Night students will have fun and communicate in English within the game.

 21:30 quiet time, Lights will be out at 22:00.

Day 5
World Talent Show

Breakfast in the school canteen.

Lesson: English Language and Culture

Lunch/Personal Time

Activities: sports, arts and design, performing arts

18:00 - Dinner. Our highly qualified and experienced catering staff prepare delicious home-cooked meals for all tastes and dietary requirements.

We are one of the only schools in the region that doesn’t outsource its catering. All meat, vegetables and dairy are sourced locally.

Personal time to have rest, picnic, to hang out with friends and walk around the vicinity of picturesque Somerset.

In the evening there will be World Talent Show which is meant to discover concealed talants that our students might have.

21:30 - Quiet time, Lights out at 22:00.

Day 6
Disco light show

Breakfast at the school canteen.

Lesson: English Language and Culture. Within language classes, along with communication, listening, speaking and vocabulary practice,

students will learn about cultural peculiarities of different nations.

At 12:30 - 13:30 lunch and personal time.

Activities: sports, arts and design, performing arts

18:00 - Dinner. Homemade treats and plenty of fresh, seasonal fruit is always available on a daily basis. There is no chance of going hungry.

Personal time to experience wall climbing practice or swimming in the local swimming pool.

In teh evening a exciting student party will follow. Disco light show will continue till 21:30.

21:30 - Quiet time, Lights out at 22:00.

Day 7
Science Fiction Movie Nigh.

Breakfast at the school canteen. This day students will get ready for a long trip excursion with their new friends.

Full day excursion to Bath and Lacock Abbey. National Trust run medieval abbey used for Harry Potter films Lacock Abbey was originally founded in 1232 and for over 300

hundred years functioned as a nunnery with up to around 25 nuns. The fine medieval cloisters, sacristy, chapter house and monastic rooms of the Abbey have survived largely

intact. Today the property is owned by the National Trust and the public can visit.

Dinner/Time to have rest.

In the evening students will enjoy an English Science-Fiction Movie Nigh.
